Hey there, I'm May.
An emerging filmmaker from Richmond, Virginia, my obsession with cinema started on the stage. I've always been a storyteller and performer, putting on half-baked plays in my parent's suburban house. My obsession with the early 2000s stems from this time, and as an adult, I chase the nostalgia of growing up in a time of cassettes and blackberry phones. This feeling is infused throughout my work, as I explore themes of identity, love, friendship, and betrayal.
A recent college graduate with a B.A. in Cinema, I am currently a freelance writer and director, as well as a script supervisor. My work spans across narrative and commercial, with two award winning short films.
